Item 5.02           Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On August 6, 2019, William Roth notified the Board of Directors (the "Board") of Granite Point Mortgage Trust Inc. (the "Company") of his intention to retire from the Board, effective December 31, 2019. Mr. Roth’s retirement is not the result of any disagreement with respect to any matter relating to the operations, policies or practices of the Company.
