Supporting Our Team
Our exceptional employees are fundamental to our success, and we are committed to upholding strong human capital management practices to support our team. Our core values of excellence, responsibility, integrity and respect have shaped our culture and work environment so that our team of approximately 30 individuals can experience professional growth while contributing in a meaningful way to the long-term success and sustainability of our business.
From fundamental compensation and benefits offerings to inclusion and belonging efforts to wellness programs, we are committed to promoting our employees’ health and well-being, engagement and development. See below for highlights of the ways we support our team.
Health, Safety and Security in the Workplace
We strive to provide our employees with a safe and healthy work environment free from hazards, violence and threatening behavior. Our Employee Handbook contains policies against violent conduct, firearms, drugs and alcohol, and tobacco in the workplace. All personnel have an obligation to report all workplace accidents, injuries, and unsafe equipment, practices or conditions.
In addition, we monitor external threats, such as public health risks or civil unrest, and adopt safety measures or otherwise modify our policies and practices as needed to protect our employees.
Our commitment to our team members’ health is also demonstrated by our comprehensive benefits package, including 100% employer-paid medical and dental insurance and a suite of physical and mental health offerings.
Inclusion and Belonging
We are committed to fostering a positive work environment where all team members—from employees early in their careers to members of senior management—can grow professionally and contribute to Granite Point’s success. This commitment includes cultivating a culture of inclusion and belonging that recognizes and values the diverse experiences, capabilities and perspectives of our team members.
Promoting a Respectful and Inclusive Workplace
We are committed to maintaining a workplace where team members are treated fairly, respectfully and with dignity. Our policies and practices are designed to support an environment that:
- Prohibits discrimination, harassment and retaliation based on any status protected by applicable federal, state or local law;
- Helps team members understand their rights and responsibilities and promotes fair treatment and mutual respect;
- Encourages inclusion and values individual differences;
- Provides equal employment opportunities based on ability, performance and potential;
- Considers flexible work practices, benefits and policies that support employees and their changing needs; and
- Supports the attraction, retention and development of talented, engaged and committed people.
We support this environment through policies in our Employee Handbook addressing equal employment opportunity, equal pay, disability and religious accommodations, parental and other family leave, accommodations for nursing mothers, and prohibitions against sexual harassment and other forms of workplace harassment. See also the description of our Human and Labor Rights policy here.
Providing Annual Training
In addition, all officers and employees receive mandatory third-party training on anti-harassment and inclusion and belonging annually. Every officer and employee completed the required training in 2025.
